While Ice Cream Sandwich and CyanogenMod 9 are on everyone’s minds, it is easy to forget that development is still going on for CyanogenMod 7 (which currently runs Gingerbread v. 2.3.7). While development for CM7 has been slow of late backend updates are still being made to leave it in the best, most stable form for devices that it supports. Some changes of note include backporting varios ICS features (like the dialer, transitions, rotation), new lockscreens (namely two new ring styles: ICS and Blade), T9 predictive search in the dialer, media playback and recording fixes, support for new bluetooth and GPS capabilities and add-on devices, and more fixes by device. There are a few new devices supported which can be found on the CyanogenMod website (http://www.cyanogenmod.com).
